Who's behind Freedom Physio:

I'm Eleanor Vinnicombe, an advanced endurance rider and owner of two gorgeous part-bred Arabian mares. I've competed in endurance since I was 13 and my career highlights so far have to be completing an FEI* 100km race with a 20yo horse in 2021 and representing England as part of the home internationals team in 2025. 

Alongside endurance, I also enjoy some low-level dressage and jumping and really advocate for cross-training our horses no matter what their main discipline is. 

I am also extremely passionate about liberty and building a partnership with your horse on the ground. I have experience working with a wide range of horses and love developing a relationship with each one and understanding how best to work with them as an individual. I find it fascinating the differences between different horses and find working with them in-hand extremely fulfilling, even if it can sometimes seem boring from the outside I think there’s an awful lot to be learnt in this regard. 

Small-animal experience:

Growing up we never had pets, so I was always dog and cat sitting and spending time with animals however I could. I feel this actually gives me an advantage as I’ve seen how animals are cared for and their role in the family from a wide range of perspectives in a variety of different situations, and can really appreciate what they bring to our lives. 

I have also trained an Assistance Dog through to passing a public access test in 2022 and am extremely knowledgeable about how dogs can change people’s lives with the right support and training. This is something I’m more than happy to talk through and discuss if there’s anything I can do to help your Assistance dog journey, whether through training advice or through physiotherapy to keep your partner on top form and able to enjoy assisting you for as long as possible. 

Qualifications: 

• Graduated from Harper Adams University with a degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy (BSc HONS)

• Member of NAVP (National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists)

  • and as a student was selected to be a representative for them in 2024/25 and 2025/26.

• Accredited with RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners)
